I'm already set up in QuickBooks (or Xero, FreshBooks, Wave) — do I really need the Yesler Portal?
Perfect — that's exactly how we like it. All of our bookkeeping work is done inside whatever platform you already use. Your books, your reports, your CPA exports — everything stays where it belongs. The Yesler Portal isn't a replacement; it's a clean layer on top for receipts, document uploads, and direct messages with your bookkeeper. Everything in one spot, nothing lost in email threads.
What if I'm not on any bookkeeping software yet?
We'll set you up — usually in QuickBooks Online, which is what we recommend for most small businesses (it's where lenders, CPAs, and tax software all play nicely together). Xero is a great alternative for ecommerce and international clients. FreshBooks works well for service businesses and freelancers. Wave is fine for very early-stage. Onboarding into a fresh QBO account typically takes 3–5 days. Migrating from spreadsheets or another platform takes a bit longer, but we handle the whole transition.
Which platforms do you actually specialize in?
All the major ones. Our bookkeepers work daily across QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, FreshBooks, Wave, and Sage. We know each platform's chart-of-accounts gotchas, bank-feed quirks, rules engines, multi-entity consolidation, class & location tracking, and how to keep your file clean enough that your CPA thanks you at year-end. If you're on something we haven't listed, ask — we've probably worked in it.
